Support the Goodnow Library Foundation

Celebrating 17 Years of Supporting the Goodnow Library in 2025!

 

As our community’s needs evolve, the Goodnow Library Foundation continues to serve an important role in supporting the Goodnow Library’s focus on education and literacy, as well as providing a gathering place where everyone is welcome.

 

The Foundation provides supplemental funding to the Library, supporting refurbishments, technology upgrades, director’s requests, and other needs not covered by the town—amounting to 10–20% of the Library’s non-salary budget each year, on average. 

 

This year, donor support has enabled us to fund:

• New Teen Area furniture including new tables, chairs, and upholstered furniture to make the area more inviting and functional for teen patrons

• E-book and audio book purchases to reduce wait times for popular titles

• Software for the Goodnow Library's digital archives

• New equipment for the Sara Sherman NOW Lab, including a multi-filament 3-D printer

• Programs for teens and children

The Foundation also continues to support community events, Book Nook book sales (two large in-person events, online, and kiosk in the Library), and the popular museum pass program.
